Why did you create your business?

We aim to help anyone who drinks alcohol get more out of life by increasing mindfulness and intentionality around when and how much they drink. Unlike the vast majority of alcohol health services, we focus on moderation vs. an all or nothing approach. We think tracking drinks should be as common as tracking calories and steps as a component of our proactive health routines. Through small changes to drinking habits, we can unlock huge wellness benefits. There’s a gap for the millions of consumers who enjoy drinking and have no desire to quit entirely, yet could nonetheless benefit from building a healthier relationship with alcohol. Cutback Coach fills the gap, and will improve the lives of millions in the process.

what makes you proud to lead your company?

For me, the most rewarding piece of our work at Cutback Coach is seeing the impact we’re having on the lives of our members. When we connect with someone who tells us how amazing they’re feeling, how proud they are of themselves or how happy they are to have started working with us, that makes all the difference. I also love being at the forefront of such a passionate team. It’s a joy to be surrounded by people who are committed to our mission and who care so much about our customers. It really is a joy coming to work every day with a wonderful team that’s laser focused on improving the lives of our member base.

what i'm currently obsessed with

Watching the conversation about alcohol and wellness change in real-time. For many, the pandemic led to less healthy drinking patterns that had an impact on our overall mental and physical wellbeing. As we emerge, the conversation is changing around the role that alcohol plays in our health. Where any talk of drinking less used to be something we hid away, now many of us view it as a positive investment in our wellbeing. Drinking mindfully is centered around being intentional in our alcohol consumption, helping us to get more out of life, so I love seeing people connect the dots between more mindful drinking and better sleep, increased productivity, decreased stress, and improved overall health.
